Yesterday, up in Wallington (South London) there was an event called "Wally Con" where a gaming group from that area hire a hotel's function room for a long weekend of board gaming, so I went up there on the bike and had an enjoyable day's gaming including Colosseum, Guillotine, Navegador and Barfight! to name a few ( Read more... )

I went for a wander around the local Charity Shops today and for £1.50 picked up a copy of "Pass the Bomb", a fun game where you need to think up words using letters on cards picked at random whilst a plastic "bomb" (shaped like your classic round, black cartoon device with a string fuse) ticks away. I'm thinking of going to this event and I was just wondering if anyone else has been there and can tell me what it's like...?

The first board game I bought was the Lord of the Rings game because I liked the co-operative nature of it so much and now, having played Pandemic a couple of times, I'm buying that too :-)
